Say "Cheese"

Addison is cute. Really cute. So cute that today I went and got his cuteness professionally documented. Thanks to an amazing coupon, we went to Kiddie Kandids and got some amazing pictures for FREE. They took a ton of pictures and were super nice and we got a collage-type print with his name on it for zero dollars and zero cents, plus they emailed us the individual portraits for free. They didn't even pressure us to buy anything else or come back next month or anything, and I left the store photos in hand. They only took about five minutes to print. I'm a believer.
If anyone is intrigued, I've got a few coupons to give away. Just let me know if you want one. You have to get moving because they expire on August 2, but it is so worth it. And there are Kiddie Kandids stores all over the country, so I'd be pleased as punch to mail you a coupon.
So now that the commercial is over, I'm pleased to report that Addison did great. I think he was the only kid there that wasn't crying. What a trooper.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
