Easter Sunday

Image
Egg dying action from the night before. Aunt Jenna, Uncle Preston, and Preston's sister Taylor were with us. Easter morning the kids came up to our room for their Easter baskets and basically had candy for breakfast. Leah was so excited about getting an Easter basket that it took her forever to fall asleep the night before. Then we did a few rounds of hunting for our dyed eggs. And that night we had the Aarons over for dinner and another egg hunt. It was a very enjoyable evening.

A Broken Finger for Bryn

Image
Bryn was super pumped for school a few Fridays ago. It was "sports day," where you get to wear a team jersey for school. I had gone digging and found her soccer jersey from when she played soccer at age four, and it was a perfect fit. She gave me a kiss and bounded out of the car behind Addison, turning around to close the sliding door. And then she kept standing by the car. Because her finger was closed in the door! I jumped into action and opened the door to release her finger and then had her come around to the passenger side and climb back in the car. I wasn't sure about whether to take her in ...

Michelle's Side of the Family Comes to Town

A couple weeks ago, Jenna received her endowment. What a special event in our family! The way schedules worked out, it made the most sense to do it here, in the Bountiful Temple. So we got to have tons of my family in town, which is a rare and most delicious treat. Jenna and Preston came, of course, and Brianna and Mason, Mom and Dad, and Rebecca and her brand new baby, Austin. It was a house full of fun!  It was a very fast visit, but it was just wonderful.  The first day we got to have Bri and Beck and Austin tag along to ballet and the grocery store, and then we decided that we'd better go to lunch at Zupas. From there it's all a blur, but more people came, we hung out, stayed up way too late, got to show off our new house, and generally had the time of our lives. After the session at the temple, we took the DQ by storm. I cannot believe this actually happened! Look at all these beautiful people!!!! Asa adores his Uncle Mason. Here they are with matching mustaches. My paren...
