Sneaking in a brag on my hubby


I just wanted to point you in the direction of a few recent(ish) articles in the Church Magazines written by my very own hubby. They're even true! Some of you may not know that he also interned as an editor for the Liahona a few summers ago, so his writing is in other places in the magazines too, just not with his name on it. The illustrations in the magazines themselves are great. Too bad they're not included in the online version. Enjoy!

    That is SOO awesome. We actually figured that was him. I read that story first (OF COURSE cause it had something about Brasil) and was shocked to see his name on it. Keep it comin' Nate. You are doing a fantastic job!!!

    Yeah, that second one sneaked up on us all, didn't it?! :)

    About a year ago, at one of our morning devotionals at work, a missionary said she'd just read a wonderful story about three hikers...and I had the distinct honor of telling her that my brother was the author. Way to go, bro!

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
