Nate the Great
I cannot tell a lie. Sometimes I run out of ideas of what to do with Addison. That is one of the most frustrating things in the world to me. I can think of teeny little 2 minute activities, but those are not particularly helpful when we've got a three-hour stretch of playtime in front of us. On days like those, it is all I can do to survive through the afternoon until Nate gets home.
Poor Nate. After a long day of major work, plus about 2 hours and 10 minutes total commute time (which is also often spent working) he comes home to a wife who is a basket case and a little boy that's had to live with her all day. But amazingly, he doesn't even miss a beat.
He throws on some playclothes, consoles his stir-crazy wife, and rescues her and the boy from each other. And I think he might even like it! After a day of racking my brain for anything to do with Addison, I am in complete awe at Nate's never-failing creativity. And when it comes to making the little guy laugh, he's got the magic touch. How did I get so lucky?
my bro is an odd person. (that's for all the sarcastic comments he left on my blog! =P)
ReplyDelete& good grief, addy couldn't get any cuter, could he!?!?

I think I listened to the laughing ones about 30 times each. HE'S SO CUTE! I especially love the one where Nate and Addison are laughing together. :o) What a good daddy.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, this is only about 20% true. The part about me liking spending time with Add is about the only part I can claim is true.
