Halloween Cookies

Last night for family night we frosted Halloween cookies. I think this is the third year we've done it, and it's become a tradition. We plopped Addison in his walker and let him scoot around the dining room (and eat a little frosting) while we went to work. And I must say we had some masterpieces this time around.

Traditional jack-o-lantern faces

"Art cookies" all by Nate. The only recognizable one is the one on the right; a world map.

Sesame Street series: Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Big Bird

Spooky Halloween ones. My favorite is the "Boo!" on the top left (also by Nate.) See if you can find the mustache man, cyclops, devil, vampire, and wicked witch of the west.

  6. Umm, I hope you don't think I'm too weird, but I just have to share my dream from last night.

Nate was on a business trip up here in Oregon for some reason, and he needed a place to stay. We offered our couch. Apparently he couldn't sleep, though, because in the morning I woke to find our kitchen and living room absolutely COVERED in baked goods (mostly sugar cookies that looked just like these ones you made). Literally every surface and most of the floor was covered with cookie sheets, racks, pans, and plates of goodies. He said he couldn't sleep so he figured he'd make some food. I didn't complain! ;)

It's so strange the things you dream about sometimes...apparently your Halloween cookies left an impression! :)
