Surprise! A finite project
Against all odds, we actually finished a project we started. It only took a month and a half and WAY more hours than expected, but the results are better than I expected. Check out the buttons.

(Get your very own at the DI for $17.50. You're probably wondering why we even wanted to reupholster this baby)
N.B. I will never reupholster a piece of furniture again. Ever. If I ever even entertain the notion again, please shoot me with a staple gun.

Holy cow Michelle that looks amazing! Way better than the few hundred dollar couch that I bought for my place.
ReplyDeleteI am way impressed! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteMICHELLE!!! Now I must have you over to teach me this! Somehow, we're going to have to meet in Missouri or whatever halfway is. Was the upholstring (or however you spell that) really that horrible? I've been dying to get my hands on some re-upholstry lessons. I want an amazing wing-back chair and I can probably just afford 17.50 plus the cost of materials. Maybe I'll save up some extra to fly you out to Texas and teach me. Also, I love how nonchalantly you stand at the sewing machine. I sit and have my eyebrows furrowed in concentration just trying to get the thread on the bobbin.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou never told me that you could do anything like that! I miss you guys.
