Further Proof That We Have a Big Boy on Our Hands

Addison started walking for real about the same time he figured out how to make animal noises. He walks like a champ now from room to room to room!


This next one is a little trick Add picked up at Lindsey and Micah's wedding reception when Uncle Dennis was taking pictures.

Cheese is actually his favorite food these days too, and today instead of just pointing to it or yelling until I figured out what he wanted, he asked for it by saying "cheese"!


This one just kills me. It's not a recent development at all. We've been doing it for several months, but I just had to share.

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
