Peaches
This past Monday we started off the gardening season right (if you don't count the weed-tomatoes) by planting two peach trees!
Nate the daredevil
We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. ReplyDeleteThe gardening thing is so awesome. I feel your nervousness about starting stuff from seeds though. We actually have had tons of luck this year though! Our tomato plants were already growing when we bought them, but we started our squash, zuchini, carrots, and cantaloupe from seeds. All have been flourishing except the carrots. No sign of them yet and we planted way back in March. Isn't it addicting? Jeff would love to plant fruit trees, but I keep reminding him that we'll be moving before they even produce fruit. Enjoy. P.S. I'm very impressed by Addison's knowledge of a)how to count to 3 and b)his adorable folded arms getting ready to pray in the hole.
