This past Monday we started off the gardening season right (if you don't count the weed-tomatoes) by planting two peach trees!

Addison did a great job of playing with earthworms and filling the holes. He kept counting to three and throwing in handfuls of dirt.
And our spiritual little boy decided that the hole was a great place to pray.

gardening is so fun!!! you guys are lucky you've got good soil to work with! :)

darling! I'll come in time for your peaches!
ReplyDeleteThe gardening thing is so awesome. I feel your nervousness about starting stuff from seeds though. We actually have had tons of luck this year though! Our tomato plants were already growing when we bought them, but we started our squash, zuchini, carrots, and cantaloupe from seeds. All have been flourishing except the carrots. No sign of them yet and we planted way back in March. Isn't it addicting? Jeff would love to plant fruit trees, but I keep reminding him that we'll be moving before they even produce fruit. Enjoy. P.S. I'm very impressed by Addison's knowledge of a)how to count to 3 and b)his adorable folded arms getting ready to pray in the hole.
