Bryndy Lou Who


Our sweet little Bryn went to the doctor today and wowed everyone because she's already gaining weight back. She started at 5 lbs 7 oz, went down to 5 2 in the hospital, and is back up to a whopping 5 4 now. Hooray! She has a great appetite and also a charming disposition. I wouldn't recognize her cry from a distance, because I haven't really heard it since she was born. I had no idea they made babies like this! She eats, fills her pants, and goes back to sleep! And when she wakes up for a few minutes, she's happy and sweet as can be.

    That is great! Lucy decided that she would wake up 4 times last night. Perhaps she needs to take some lessons from her friend Bryndy Lou Who, ey?

    This is Sarah from the JSP. She's so adorable! Congratulations. Are you having trouble getting clothes to fit her? Madeline was 5 lb 10 oz when she was born, and she didn't cross 6 lb until she was 2 months old so I have just a bit of experience in this area . . . we finally found some preemie pants at Babies 'R Us that worked. That's probably not an issue since it's summer, though. Just thought I'd pass it along.

    My husband just pointed out that I'm silly to just tell you where to buy the preemie pants when I have some in the other room that aren't being used. He's a wise man. You're welcome to borrow them if you wish; have Nate e-mail me if you're interested.

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
