Mingedorff Reunion Extravanganza 2009!

We spent a few days around the 4th of July chilling with my family in Georgia. It was awesome. A few highlights were picking blueberries, taking Camden's family's boat out on the lake, no makeup, very few showers, actually harvesting something from a garden, and of course, the pool. We had a great time painting toenails and celebrating my sister Kaylyn's 5th birthday and watching the chickens (one of which is named First Gear) and cows. Doug and Russell masterminded our own personal fireworks display, and we got to see both of my Grandmas. It's the first time my whole family has been together in almost three years and it was great to laugh, sunburn, and chew the fat together.

I'll keep the dialogue to a minimum because most of these pictures speak for themselves. Kudos to Nate for making awesome collages. Click to see the larger versions.

The funniest thing that happened in the pool was when Camden dove through a little floaty ring about the size of a fruit loop and got stuck. I'm just impressed that we didn't have to do surgery to remove it. It was also Juliann's debut at the Mingledorff house - and in the pool. She celebrated by taking off all her clothes and jumping in.

Addison LOVED the little orange car. He'd scream all the way down the hill and then sit at the bottom once it was over and laugh his head off. A bunch of us had a rousing game of Cranium in which the winners obviously cheated, because Russell and I are unbeatable at every game we play on the same team.

Going to the lake was the highlight of the trip for Nate. Check him out water skiing - you'll be jealous that he's taken, ladies. Captain Camden drove the boat all day and looked like a lobster by the end. And Mom is still hobbling around from letting Dad coach her in the finer art of water skiing.

Kaylyn got cow boots for her birthday and made sure to find a very fresh cow pie to step in every time she helped feed the cows. We had lots of good food, some of it thanks to Doug, who was unstoppable with his fancy meat thermometer.
