Potty Time!


I'd just like to take a second and inform the world that Addison is a mature, well adjusted boy who SAT ON THE POTTY of his own free will yesterday! I saw an open bathroom door, heard the toilet lid open, and peeked in to see him trying to get his bum on the toilet while brushing his teeth with the other hand. So I tried to play it cool, took off the diaper, and plopped him up there for a few seconds. He didn't do anything except feel really cool and make his mommy burst her buttons. Then we called everyone in the world and shared the news. I could handle him keeping this up.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
