A Blissful Weekend at Home

Friday morning:
Trip south to make this
with the sis-in-law.

Lunch at "Daddy work."

Friday evening:

Visitors who always seem to elude the camera, but take great pictures, make great eggrolls, and have fabulous taste in movies anyway.

Saturday:

Lots of this


Rip out these nappy things and take 'em to the dump.


Daddy wields saw.


Mommy wields shovel.


Add helps.


Add "helps."


and wears sweet boots.

Bryn supervises


and does a little more of this.


Resulting in some mighty fine raised beds for strawberries and raspberries.


Sunday: These two work it at church.

    I love this post. It makes me want to get my hands dirty and you have such cute kids! I love all the pics of Bryn especially!

    We've been doing a lot of ripping out, dumping, and dirty-ing in our yard too...feels great, doesn't it? Perhaps we need to come over this summer to taste your strawberries...I'm a really good strawberry taster. I LOVE the stylish church pics...such cuties!

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
