Easter

Easter was fun and crazy around our house. Addison doesn't eat much of anything on normal days, but he loves sweets. Since it was Easter, the chocolate was plentiful and Mom and Dad were feeling generous, so he went nuts on it. And we definitely paid the price during General Conference. It was fun, though. This was the first year he hunted for eggs, and he did pretty good with it (see video below). We had some of his cousins up that evening for another Easter egg hunt and more treats.

My favorite picture is the one on the top right. Bryn and I got up pretty early on Easter, and she was dying to get into her (and Addison's I'm sure) Easter basket. But we waited for the sleepyhead boys to get up.

The top left is another fave. Addison really wanted the Easter Bunny to bring him a tie. Surprise! He got one!

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
