Today
It amazes me when I look back at blog posts from the golden age of only one child. Don't get me wrong, I love having two, but man, I had so much time on my hands back then! If only I'd realized it at the time. The point of all this philosophizing is to say that I am a slack dog blogger these days. Poor Bryn is going to think she was adopted someday because I haven't done very well with tracking every last milestone, grin, and move she makes. So here's a little update - not to try to catch up (if I tried to do that I'd get paralyzed by the task and never blog again), but just to paint a picture of where we are today.
Bryn is a wonderful baby. She was born with the ability to entertain herself and she uses it. One of her favorite activities is dumping out the family room toy box and crawling around and playing with all the toys. Another favorite is swinging outside. She thinks that it's hilarious when I get her going and then bend down in front of the swing and let her kick my behind. She thinks the cat is the most interesting thing on the planet. She loves it when Mom and Dad crawl around on the floor with her and chase her. She pulls up on everything and actually stood up by herself a few days ago. She's also very skilled at clapping and waving. We call her our "sober child" because she seems to be a very deep thinker. You've got to put in some effort to get her to giggle (unless your name is Addison and everything you do is hilarious).
She has two teeth - bottom front, and uses them to eat like crazy. She's definitely our good eater (she gets it from her mother). Sleeping...not so much. We still get up once in the night to feed her and her average wake-up time these days is 6:30, which I do not appreciate. She loves eating paper products and is very skilled at unrolling the toilet paper every time Mommy turns around.
So there's the official run-down for now. And a picture, of course.

Cute kids! They are GROWING! I miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteRubber duckies must be a very popular snack. I know in this house it's always a fight as to who gets to eat them. Teddy eats, I clean, Henry eats, Teddy steals, I clean. It's a never ending process.
