Happy Birthday Dear Brynny
It is crazy to think that this time a year ago Nate and I were in the hospital with about an hour of labor left. I can't believe my little Bryn Annalee is one today! She is such a sweet baby and I can't imagine our family without her. I love that her little tongue sticks out so much of the time. I love watching her play with Addison. She's our little "sober child," but catch her at the right minute and she'll smile and laugh like crazy. She has five teeth! Everyone always comments on her tan skin. She came out that way, but her hair started out very dark and has changed to light brown with a little bit of curl.
A few fun facts about Bryn
- Favorite food: Fruit. We have yet to find any she doesn't like. She also loves spaghetti, which we're having for her birthday supper.
- Favorite activities: Leafing through books/reading them with Mom and Dad, playing in the wading pool, peek-a-boo, being chased, looking at pictures of the family, helping with the dishwasher.
- Skills: Entertains herself like nobody's business, says "uh-oh," a little bit of walking, taught herself how to go up and down the stairs, drinking real live milk!
- Favorite things: cats and small dogs, Addison, Mommy and Daddy, bottles, her blanket
In the hospital. She was so tiny!
In the beginning she was like a teeny little doll - this video gives an idea, I think.

First thing this morning

And a few of her tricks:
What a doll! You know, Cadence came out tan too, but one day I realized she was way white... I love her dancing, Cadence dances just like that, I love it. They could do a duet!
ReplyDeleteAW! She and Addison sound exactly the same when they laugh. Cute!

Happy Birthday sweet Brynny!
ReplyDeleteSorry, this isn't on topic (Happy Birthday to Bryn, by the way!), but someone I ran across was wondering why the next volume of the Joseph Smith Papers is taking so long to be announced. Is Nate still working on that? Does he know anything?
ReplyDeleteI'll give the short answer: we're working on several volumes at once plus we're preparing to launch our website, with free access to hundreds of Joseph Smith documents. Working on everything at once may not sound like a great idea, but once we get the process worked out, we should have a new book about every six months. Look for the website this fall and the next volume in spring 2011. Thanks for asking - I'm flattered people care!
ReplyDeleteSo Cute! I can't believe she is already one! Happy Birthday to Bryn. Her hair looks so blonde now.
