One Last Visit
Well it's official. The Ogden temple is closed for at least two years for major renovation. One of the great things about living in Utah is that chances are good that there's a temple close by, no matter where you live. We have greatly enjoyed being able to attend the temple frequently because it is only 20 minutes away. It's a hard thing to do even then when you throw kids in the mix, so we're definitely going to be missing the proximity as we haul it to Bountiful for the next little while, which is double the driving time.
As a final farewell to the Ogden temple as we know it, Nate did an awesome family home evening last week. He drew out a treasure map and let Addison navigate us to the treasure (X marks the spot). Addison LOVED it. He's big into directions and landmarks, so he was definitely digging it the whole time. Surprise, surprise, the treasure was the temple. We made it there and got out to walk around the grounds and snap a few pictures and just enjoy the spirit that is there. I feel so fortunate that know that I can have my family forever, even after we die, because of the covenants Nate and I and our families have made in the temple.
What a great FHE idea! I love the pictures :)
