THE ROAR SHOW! This kills me. Addison came up with it (including the name) all by himself. I take great pleasure in offering him a cat or a giraffe to join the show and listening to him very graciously decline the offer and patiently explain to me that my animal is not a "roarer."


He's also into making "dinosaur trains" lately. These little guys can be tricky, because they fall over pretty easily. He has learned to keep himself in control when that happens and instead of getting upset he informs me that the dinosaurs are "not doing bery good."


And bonus! A dinosaur train with animals.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
