G.G. Comes to Play
Earlier this month, my Grandma (or G.G. to the kids) came out to Utah to visit her old stompin' grounds and all the family that has ended up out this way. I was spoiled growing up, because she lived in a little cottage at the edge of our backyard, so I spent many afternoons on her couch chatting with her while she worked on one crocheting project or another. She was also my seminary teacher in high school. I loved seeing my kids have a chance to get to know her a little.
Our little family got to take her down to see Temple Square while she was here and we had a great time. The flowers are always so pretty!
That weekend we got together with the whole extended clan for a barbecue at my Aunt Chris and Uncle LaMar's house. They have our dream yard.
My Uncle LaMar is a vet, and they have a lot of pets, including five horses and a turkey. We got to go on a hayride pulled by two of the horses and it was a big treat for the kids (okay and for me and Nate too). Here's Addison with my cousin, Carter, petting one of the horses.
Looks like so much fun! I'm so jealous. The hayride sounds so cool!
