Countdown to Go Time!

35 weeks!

Eye on the prize, baby. Here are the stats until May 3rd.
36 nights left to sleep with a pillow between my knees
26 stairs from the bottom to the top of our house. Why didn't we go with a ranch-style?
10 more laundry days
10 more piano lessons to teach
9 names to whittle off our "possible girl names" list.
8 days until the baby comes if it's on the same schedule as Bryn (but we're not allowing ourselves to think that way)
8 more items on the "to do pre-baby" list (so what if each item is a bulleted list?)
6 options on the "possible boy middle names" list
6 more bathrooms to clean
5 more Sundays at church
5 more doctor appointments
2 more menus to plan and major grocery shopping trips to make

I find myself amused by the helpful and insightful comments people feel compelled to give. Here's the winner so far: "Were you this big with ALL your pregnancies!?!?!?" Nice. Really nice.

In other news, nesting frenzy going on over here. If we ever make it through it all I'll put up pictures - that is if I haven't sprouted wings and started clucking by then.

    Humph. I was just thinking how your little tummy looks kind of petite, considering you've only got 5 weeks to go. I'm sure I was twice that size with Miles. Ya look slammin', sis.

    i was just going to say how good you look! really, it's all belly (or at least it appears that way to me). i was enormous all over with both pregnancies.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
