We need to sit down and document the whole birth story, but the idea is awfully daunting for a pair of sleep-deprived, worn-out parents at 10:00 at night. So, let's just say that little Leah ViAnn came Monday morning, May 7, at 7:26 a.m., 20 inches long, 7 lb 14 oz. And she's perfect. Enjoy the pictures.

    She has SO much hair! I think that she looks more like a Mingledorff, but I haven't heard anybody else say that so maybe I'm mistaken. What a sweet little baby!

    I love all these pictures! My favorites are the family picture, and both of the ones where she's sleeping and her hands are up by her face. She is so incredibly beautiful and she definitely looks like her siblings. Good job guys!

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
