More on Leah

Little Leah will be seven months old tomorrow! Where does the time go? Here's the latest.
She loves to be outside.

This girl loves to eat solids. Especially when everyone else is eating solids. She does not like to be left out of mealtimes. She's still nursing, and doing quite well at it. Now if only she'd sleep through the night instead of waking up once or twice to eat still.

I see crawling coming in the nearish future.

And she can sit up all by herself. (Very cutely).


She likes grits. No teeth yet, by the way. Addison got his first one at five months and Bryn got hers at six. Maybe seven will be Leah's magic number.


Enjoys sitting in her walker. She hasn't quite caught the "scooting around" vision, yet, but she likes being able to help in the kitchen. And she likes dehydrated apples.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
