More Birthday!
Addison's birthday party was on the morning of his birthday, and we had our own little family party that night with birthday supper (you guessed it, cream tuna) cake (he picked lemon) and a few presents.
| A big smile for the long-distance well-wishers. |
| Daddy-Addison bonding time. |
Addison at five:
- Smart and very inquisitive. He's fascinated by science - weather, blood vessels, bugs, you name it. He is doing well with his reading, but he doesn't like to do it. He'd much rather do numbers or experiments or crafts.
- Chatty. That boy can (and does) talk a blue streak.
- Tender-hearted. He doesn't like to do things wrong. And the worst thing that could possibly happen is that he hurt one of his sisters accidentally, especially Leah.
- Imaginative. Addison loves his building toys and makes all sorts of cool things every day. He loves playing make-believe and frequently will inform me about what we're playing that day (Princess Lea and Dark Vader, for example), first thing when he sees me in the morning. Luckily Daddy and Brynny are very eager and enthusiastic playmates.
Creative. He loves doing crafts. Usually after Curious George, when they have the part at the end showing real kids doing this or that, he will come to me with a list of supplies that he needs to do what they were doing.
Love this boy!
And a birthday interview. These are somewhat typical of Addison, although he's hamming it up pretty good for the camera.
Good grief, I can't believe how Addison has grown up. He is one big, smart boy!
