Easter Weekend in St. George

First, the Easter Sunday cuteness.

It's so cute it's almost painful, really.

Can you believe that the two of us actually made all that cuteness? It boggles the mind, I tell you.

I made Bryn's Easter dress. It was my first time ever putting in a zipper, and I must say I rocked it (minus an inch or two on the end that you can't unzip.)

The rocking of the zipper almost makes up for the fact that the bodice should've been a size smaller. Nothing a safety pin didn't take care of, though.

Easter Sunday was great. We got to sing with Dad's choir in church, and we had a scrumptious dinner with all the family who were in St. George.

We packed the rest of the weekend full with all sorts of fun.
Decorating eggs:

Hunting for eggs:

I didn't get any pictures of the "night before" hunt. Lindsey and Micah set one up in the backyard in the dark with flashlights! So fun! Nate remembers doing that when he was little.

That same night we snuck out with Lindsey and Micah after the kids were in bed and had an extreme laser tag battle. It was so fun!

Here's Easter morning:

Excited to get hunting!
Bryn found one!

We hid them and found them several times and then went in and had egg salad sandwiches.

The Friday we got there, Nate's Dad came and snagged Addison and Nate to go check out the new road he was building. Addison loved it and wore his hardhat, etc. for days afterwards. He even even got to bring them home.

We gave the kids their Easter baskets first thing on Easter morning. They were pretty excited.

We, of course, had to visit the carousel, Judd's, and the splash pad.
Leah rode for her first time. She loved it!

Bryn had been planning for at least a week in advance to bring Bawk, her chicken, on the carousel. They both enjoyed the ride.

On Saturday morning we snagged Grandpa and went on a hike in Snow Canyon. The weather was perfect. Bryn was a little scared because we were up so high, so she asked that we say a prayer to help her not be afraid.

I love Snow Canyon. It is beautiful!

Leah was a champ. We forgot our baby backpack, so we just switched off carrying her.  She loved playing in the sand.

Ritz crackers + sand = messy, happy baby.
Saturday we had a picnic in the park with Abbey, Lindsey and Micah, and the folks. We ate KFC and then played hide and seek and frisbee. The kids did bubbles and spent most of their time playing in the ditch. There was water in it.

Ahh, the feet. Zoom it in. I love nice weather!

  1. Great post. You guys have an awesome little family, though you don't need me to tell you that.

I would tell you my favorite picture, but there are way too many winners in this one and I can't make up my mind.

    This is Ben.

  2. I love everything about this post. Your kids are so incredibly cute. It is so cool that Add got to help his Grandpa build a road and keep his hard hat and vest. What a lucky little guy. Can't wait to see you guys this summer.
