Easter

Easter this year was absolutely wonderful. The weather over the weekend was amazing, and we were able to spend most of Saturday and Sunday out in the yard. On Saturday we dyed eggs. They loved it.

Saturday night Nate gave me a minute to hurry and finish making Leah's Easter dress so she and Bryn could be twinners. And Addison got a new yellow tie to match, too. They were cute!

I actually love the dresses. They're very simple. My goal was to make something comfy, easy to get on and off, and long enough that they will be able to wear them all summer long. I think it was a success.

Addison gave a talk in Primary and did a great job.

Nate had to be at the church at 8:00 for choir practice, so we waited to do Easter baskets until after quiet time. They were very simple, but the kids had lots of fun with the contents.

I say the kids, but Nate spent a lot of time with Addison's refill darts that he got for his nerf gun.

The results of 51 shots at the tv.

Leah got to join the fun after she woke up from her nap. I think she ate the most candy of anyone.

After that we did an Easter egg hunt, which was a huge hit with the kids. Then we sat around and blew bubbles and played outside for the rest of the afternoon and had an egg salad sandwich picnic. The cousins came over for dessert and to play outside after that. It was a great, great Easter, though Nate and I were keenly aware of everyone we wished could be around that was not. Hopefully we'll see several of you soon. Now on to baby time!
