Summertime
Our summer has been very full and very busy. It seems like it's been taken over by trying to sell the blasted house mostly. It was something of a shock when we dropped the kids off at the bus stop this morning and realized that it's over. I'm glad we got some pictures of things other than cleaning and remodeling and worrying to prove that we had some fun!
Brother Grove's birthday
Exploring the "castle park" with Kim and her kids.
More trips to Loy Blake, the new fave.
Grilling in the rain. Nate is so dedicated.
Scrambling to grab candy at the parade. I think we got more candy than we did on Halloween!
Leah's ducks in a row at bath time.
Addison, inspired by an old Friend magazine, made this for his lunch one day.
A little friend.
Lots and lots of reading. This was the summer that Addison and Bryn really became readers. Also, I've paid so many overdue fines I think I should be part-owner of the library.
Reading before bed.
We did the summer reading program at the library. Because the kids read so much, they got free kids meals at Carl's Jr. We had the place to ourselves and it was a fun treat.
The girls got haircuts toward the end of the summer. It was Bryn's first time at the haircut store, and she was a little nervous. They took off several inches, but it's hard to tell because her hair is still so long!
This makes my heart happy. Here we see Asa having his first encounter with a puddle.
Pancakes and salmon on leftover night. The dinner of champions.
Asa in the bathroom sink. The boy is unstoppable.
A couple photos from our duck pond date.
A real live pelican!
Looking cute at lunch time.
Addison has been really into Angry Birds Star Wars and likes being a Jedi on the trampoline. His moves are so awesome!
Asa is king of the raspberry patch. He checks it at least once daily and eats anything that somewhat resembles a berry.
With their bears from G.G.
Shaved ice.
Our grill bit the dust. It was a piece of junk pretty much from the get go when we bought it at a yard sale. We did a little looking and found a new one on ksl. In this picture of its maiden voyage, Nate is trying to disguise his giddiness as manliness.
Everything you see here was made with love by Nate on our new grill.

I like this. Congrats on the new grill! Addison looks very grown in his Jedi video. As does Bryn in the hair cuttresses chair. And your other kids are cute as buttons!
