Thanksgiving

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving and brought Brianna along. We had lots of fun (except maybe Asa, who cried pretty much the whole weekend.) We had a great Thanksgiving dinner, saw all Nate's side of the fam, saw Great Grandma and Grandpa, treasure hunted for critters in the park, sang around the piano, met Bri's lover, took family pictures, drove around and looked at Christmas lights, played games, went to the park, watched movies, and did lots of vegging.

The kids love it when Grandma reads to them.

This house won $50,000 in a national Christmas lights contest!

Aria. We had a blast with this girl playing games one night.

Addison practicing rappelling.

Brianna! What a beast! She was awesome at rappelling.

Heading to Red Cliffs for some exploring and rappelling. I should mention that Bryn gave us a real scare on this excursion. She was "helping" me belay for Nate. Turns out she was very invested in her job. Nate went zooming down the side of the cliff and Bryn was holding on to the rope so tight that she shot up into the air and flew probably fifteen feet and landed on the rocks at the bottom of the cliff. It could've been really, really bad. But somehow she came out of it with only a tiny scratch on her cheek, and the biggest bruise I've ever seen on her thigh. She's still healing from that one, but I can't believe she landed where she did. A couple inches in any direction and it would've been a rock to the head.

Bless Mom's heart. She laughed and laughed when her "please try to get the food in the trash can" sign got covered in pudding. Big company equals big messes.

In anticipation of this gathering, Nate's folks knocked out the wall between the kitchen and living room so we could all see each other at the table. GREAT idea. It worked out so good.

Post-feast nap.

The kids had fun playing with cousins.

Trying to get all the grandkids to look and smile for the picture.

Bri and her cute boyfriend Mason. I hope he's around next Thanksgiving too.

We had a little program after Thanksgiving dinner where several of us sang/danced/played the piano. Addison, Bryn and Leah sang Jingle Bells and Thanks to our Father.
