Asa Benji

It's the end of a long, long week in a series of long weeks and I am just tired. I've finished about half of my to-do list items for the day and mainly just feel like eating vanilla Oreos and sleeping until next Tuesday, so I figured I'd blog. It's nice because it doesn't involve packing or fretting or cleaning or talking to anyone. And it's a little bit productive. Sort of.

Anyway, the Asa man is growing up, folks. He's so smart and so very full of life and energy.

Also, I love that he's learning to talk. It just makes life so much easier, and it's adorable. He continues to be driven and determined. For example, yesterday he climbed up to the top of his bookshelf and from there into his crib. Yikes.

He's big into trucks and trains and planes these days.

Also, the child has a sweet tooth in a major way. In the photo below, he ate the sprinkles and the frosting. The doughnut itself wasn't sweet enough to merit his time.

His first encounter with a Frosty. The boy knew what to do.

He loves nursery at church, and loves music. He can sing several songs to the point that I can recognize them. EIEIO, Bingo, If You're Happy and You Know It, Roll Your Hands, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are some of his favorites.

Here he is reading a favorite book with Daddy.

And showcasing some of his new-found vocabulary.
