Look at our Beautiful Babies!

Crazy story: I wanted to take some nice photos of the kids while we had Nate's mom's sweet camera on loan. We'd used it to take some engagement pics for Jenna and Preston and had a couple days before we needed to return it, so we decided to go for it. We gussied the kids up one evening and headed to the back yard. At that very moment, our neighbor down the street happened by and mentioned to Nate that he'd really like to take some pictures of the kids for us sometime. He had no idea that we had a photoshoot going on right then and there! So Nate said, "How about now?" So the neighbor ran back down to his house, grabbed his camera, and spent the evening taking pictures of our kids while they played. What a blessing! They turned out beautifully!

He even insisted on taking one of Nate and I in all our end-of-the-evening glory.

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
