Family Reunion in Brighton

You may or may not remember our giant family reunion extravaganza from last year in Beaver. Good times and great memories. This year we did it all again in Brighton, which is up the canyon from Salt Lake City. Linda found some amazing cabins in the mountains and we enjoyed lots of family time there.

You must watch this video that Devon put together. Major kudos to him. It makes our family look so idyllic!

This year the theme was dragons, and all the kids did dragon art and read dragon books and even got to hunt for their very own dragon puppet scarves.

There was food, games, and walking in the woods. We had lots of face painting, we sang some songs, picnicked, and just hung out.

Aria and I were totally twins this day. We didn't even plan it.

We found the treasure chest!

Micah keeping hydrated.

We had a teeny tiny bit of rain during this walk in the woods. It was delightful!

After a picnic lunch one day, several of us stayed and played in the stream.

Here's the main room of the cabin that our family shared with the Aarons. It was so cool. Lots of sleeping space and plenty of bathrooms. A full kitchen with plates, etc., and a sweet loft that you accessed with a ladder.

Elliot and Elaina. Cute little guys!

Lovin' me some chubby baby thighs!

One thing that was great about our cabin was the downstairs playroom. There were dress up clothes and toys and a foosball table and a cool theater room. The cousins had so much fun together down there!

This song was a mix of Devon and Nate genius. We laughed our heads off!

Even Nate got in on the dress up action! #scarredforlife

We even managed to get all gussied up and have an extremely successful family photo shoot.
