St. George Marathon and Visit to St. George
Ah how I've missed blogging. It's quite therapeutic for me to sit down and write about the good times that our little family has. Otherwise, I tend to forget about them! We are so busy all the time, and I frequently feel like all I ever do is drive/clean/grocery shop and hound my kids to do this or that. So it's really nice to be able to look back and say, "Hey, we did something really fun as a family." Or, "Wow, we really do spend quality time together sometimes!"
Nate trained really well for the St. George marathon this year. 26.2 miles! I want to die just thinking about it. He ran a great race, which maybe he'll blog about sometime. I'm so proud of him. That's so much training. And he was really, really diligent about it. Way to go, lover!
We got to spend that weekend with the folks in St. George, and it was such a lovely time. We hit all our usual stops, plus just enjoyed being at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Addison tried a black cherry warhead, inspired by Uncle Russell.
Look at this amazing spider in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard! Happiest day of Asa's life.
The kids mentioned to Grandma that they had to miss their school carnival to leave to go to St. George. Well, being the event planner that she is, she took about 2.5 minutes and put on the carnival of the century. Games and prizes galore! You are the coolest, Grandma.
Elaina even got a mustache!
To continue the happiest day of Asa's life theme, Grandma let him help decorate her front door for Halloween.

I've missed you blogging too! I still can't believe they ran a marathon. Good grief.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is so nice that she put on a carnival for them! What a great grandma.
I wish we lived closer to you guys. We miss you. Love you!
