January 2018

January was a very, very slow month for our family. No company, no big adventures, just a lot of time putting our heads down and tending to the business of life. Turns out that's enough to keep us busy all by itself. It was a much needed pause. Here are a few pictures of our chillaxation.

Happy New Year! These guys made it till midnight.

We got to go on a lunch date with Asa while the kids were at school.

Nate and Bryn went on a date to explore the bird refuge in the freezing cold. I'm told they even walked on some ice!

Nate built some new shelves in our linen closet. They are so wonderful!

Asa and I go to storytime each Wednesday at the library. We love Miss Sue, the librarian, and all the fun activities we get to do with her.

Such fun news to share with our kids!

Bryn scaled the rock wall at the church park.

Explorers extraordinaire.

We have 9:00 church now, which we are still adjusting to. We've started watching Planet Earth as a family on Sunday night. It is fascinating!

Boats

Nate and I went to a paint night with our friends Chris and Sallie. It was so fun!

Our original artwork. Not bad, eh?

Look at him go! Riding a two-wheeler at age three!

Super Leah!

A magic show by Addison! This is his "floating cd" trick.

Puzzles

We went to the dart side as a family. It's basically a huge nerf gun war. Lots of fun.

For one preschool Asa had to use different tools to get frozen fruit out of blocks of ice.

We had a couple sickos home from school that day.

Mike lounging in one of his favorite spots - Leah's bed.

A tea party with Bryn's newly painted tea set.

Lunch in the table fort.

Nerd day at school.

This guy gave the scripture in church for the first time! He was really, really excited for it. What a cute sunbeam he is!

Report card doughnuts!

A preschool visit to the pet store. These turtles were pretty fun.
