Gramps and Grammie Come to Town

In February, my dad had a judge's conference out in our neck of the woods. He and Mom used it as an excuse to come and visit us! It was wonderful to have them as guests in our home, have Mason and Bri up, and spend time together.
We played games,

got a little crafty,

got our exercise on...

On Saturday we went out and hiked! We got so lucky with the weather. It was perfect! We drove out to Antelope Island and did a half mile hike up to the rocks and then scrambled around on them and looked for fun caves and sneaky places.

Gramps "calling a rescue helicopter" to find the kids (who are hiding under the rock he's sitting on).

Then we wandered down to the beach area and played in the sand and got some instruction on rock skipping. I had no idea my parents were so skilled in that art!

After our fun outing to Antelope Island, I got to go with Mom and Bri to Hobby Lobby. What more could a girl ask for, really? We spent forever looking at fabric for curtains, none of which we ended up buying. But it was so great to hang out with those guys and have somebody to bounce house ideas off of.

Grammie and Leah spent a lot of time checking out a book about rocks and minerals.

Big Picture Apples to Apples was a favorite game.

What a blessing for my kids to have a little time with these guys! They'll remember it forever.

Roughly one hour after their plane took off, our house and yard were covered in snow! They timed it just right!

  1. Looks like fun! Have you guys ever gone out to Spiral Jetty north of Brigham City? It was one of my favorite places we visited while out that way. Aunt Debbie
