Gender Reveal Cupcakes

Back in March, Nate and I went in for our big ultrasound for baby #5. Inspired by my sister Shauna's family, we'd decided with the kids that we'd wait to find out the gender until we were all together. The radiologist was a good sport and played along. She wrote the gender on a card and sealed it in an envelope. After the ultrasound was done, Nate and I went back to the car and managed to send a picture of the card to my sister Brianna, with our eyes closed! Skills, I tell you. Actually we sent a picture of the wrong card first, and it was blank, so there was a lot of confusion. But then we located the right one and it all got worked out. Brianna works at a bakery, and she went right to work on some cupcakes, filling them with either pink or blue frosting - nobody knew which it would be!

Nate had it all worked out with a coworker who lives near Bri's bakery, to pick them up and bring them to work the next day. But Bri was so excited that she and Mason jumped in the car and drove right up to our house for the big reveal! It was so exciting!
