Back to School 2019

The first day of school came and went a few weeks ago. Addison is in 6th grade this year, Bryn is in 5th, Leah is in 2nd, and Asa is in kindergarten!

My child looks like a grown man in this picture! This is his last year of elementary school.
 

Bryn's being brave this year and decided to join the school choir.

She saved a billion dollars to get these Warriors pins so her backpack would be absolutely perfect. And it is. She loves it.

Leah has the same school teacher as last year and has added piano lessons with Teacher Tami to her schedule.

This little guy absolutely loves school. He's in afternoon kindergarten. Addison, Bryn and Leah's school didn't have any openings for kindergartners to come in on boundary variances, so he's flying solo at the school in our neighborhood. Luckily we've got lots of church buddies there to watch out for him. He's making friends and loving his teacher.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
