Good Times This Summer
This summer was wild and crazy. We packed it so full. And we loved it! It went too fast. We've got a few more big posts coming before we're caught up, but as has become tradition, here's our whirlwind summer wrap-up.
Explorations at Hobbs
Leah rocked swimming lessons.
As part of a conference, Nate took the girls and got to sit in the choir seats at the tabernacle for a presentation.
Tea party.
Game night.
Lots of pictures of this one, because it was a fave. While Nate was in Detroit, I got brave and loaded up the kids and their bikes and we went to the bike park, which we'd never done before. This got an 11 out of 10!
Emmie discovered ducks. Such a happy day.
We spent lots of time at the pool.
Grandma!
Bryn is an artist. And also awesome.
The eyes and the door match.
Nate and his crew built us some new deck stairs.
Emmie entered toddlerhood.
I learned what a sego lily looks like.
We planted a maple tree in our backyard.
We tie-dyed shirts for the fourth of July.
Half the neighborhood came out to our cul de sac for fireworks. Emmie loved playing in the bucket of water. Also, someone called the fire department on us.
Emmie learned where the chocolate chips are.
The garden has been so-so this year.
But the rutabagas have thrived. And we all tried them. And they are totally disgusting.
Treehouse museum.
Ice cream (note Asa's belly button.)
These two look so much alike.
Reading in bed with a headlamp. Does it get better?
Mike didn't seem to mind functioning as a night stand when Asa camped in the library.
We family reunioned it up with Nate's side of the family at Brian Head.
Origami
Addison took the Polar Bear challenge in the creek.
We said goodbye to Bri and Mason. We miss them so much!
Nate and I ventured out and tried a Cajun restaurant. It was quite the experience. So many legs!
Asa's thinking cap.
We fished for minnows with Kim and co.
Emmie got some teeth.
And stopped nursing at 13 months.
They rebuilt the castle park. It's even cooler than before!
Nine square in the air with the neighbors!
Barbies with Grandma.
New glasses for this handsome dude.
Emmie ate a billion plums from our tree. And she loves this chair.
Emmie has lots of conversations with Google.
Such a fun night around the fire with Grandma.
Asa built a rocketship.
Addison burned some things.
His growing quarter collection.
Plenty of trips to the library.
A Mom and Addison date to do baptisms.
Splash pad.
Pokemon are a fave in our house right now.
