Things I Loved on Our Trip to Georgia

Leah and I just got back last week from my Christmas trip to Georgia. The weather stunk for traveling, but other than that, it was absolutely wonderful. A huge thanks to Nate and his mom for taking care of the big kids while Leah and I ran away for the weekend.
I loved seeing my family and spending some good time with them. I loved the place. Georgia just feels so homey, and the temperatures were in the fifties! We played basketball and went for a walk outside! Definitely a far cry from home sweet arctic tundra. I loved showing Leah off and letting her have some one on one time with my family. Here are pictures from the trip.

Nate the daredevil

We had one more adventure last Saturday that Nate was too embarrassed to write about. Before our hiking excursion we went to Liberty Park to feed the ducks. Addison had a great time in his stroller soaking up some rays and watching the lake and the people and the birds. We tried hard to avoid the seagulls, which are gross if you've never had much contact with them, and to get to the two ducks that were around, but competition for that bread was pretty fierce, so Nate decided to make the geese work for it (since they're the only ones that would). The documented evidence makes me wonder who was working harder, though, and who was more scared. Must be those ferocious beaks or the powerful weapons they like to call webbed feet. Notice Addison's feet in the video where you can see them.

Golden Parenting Moments

Several weeks ago, Nate woke up feeling gung-ho on a Saturday morning and decided we were going on a family sledding trip. I was a grump, but went along with it anyway. By the time we found a decent place and got a good trail worn down the kids got snow in their drawers and it was time to go. We had a great time, obviously. Poor Nate! .
